Lentil is Rabi crop. Lentil is sown in 16900 hectare area and its annual production is 14870 tons.

Amla Murabba

Being Amla District of Madhya Pradesh, Amla in Panna is found in abundent. Amla is most commonly used in making murabbas, which is a sweet and spicy relish. It is prepared by processing the amlas and is a great way of preserving amlas for a longer period of time.

Khurchan

Khurchan is a delicious sweet made from milk. The top texture is a bit crisp, and the bottom layers are soft.

Gakkad Bharta

Usually, prepared outdoors on cowdung cake fire wherein huge eggplants, onion, tomatoes, garlic etc were roasted on high heat. Gakkad (thick chapati) made of wheat flour, put over the ash bed and covered with remaining almost burned cowdung cakes. This use to give them distinct smoky and earthy flavor.
