Published on: 06/07/2019Usually, prepared outdoors on cowdung cake fire wherein huge eggplants, onion, tomatoes, garlic etc were roasted on high heat. Gakkad (thick chapati) made of wheat flour, put over the ash bed and covered with remaining almost burned cowdung cakes. This use to give them distinct smoky and earthy flavor.
